I felt that I was treated in an inhumane manner. The manager informed me that staff were not allowed to communicate with me, nor I with them and if I were to do so then the door of the room I was in would be closed. I was enclosed in a room with no view of the outside world for 48 hours and felt as though I was imprisoned and could not breathe. I was highly distressed. My family came to visit me and weren't allowed to see me, if I was a 'normal' patient then this would not have been the case. I feel as though my human rights were totally violated. 1.5 years later and I still get flashbacks about this and feel as though I will never get over this horrific experience.

The staff are supper. The organization could be better. There is a real lack of communication between staff and patients requests can fall on deaf ears.

One improvement could be a poster explaining the different types of section and what they mean to you as a patient. I felt protected from myself here - thank you.

HCAs have been absolutely amazing as have nurses/OT and other members of staff. Patients generally seemed quite content with treatment as was I. Always someone around to help, very patient and aid in rebuilding some strength and very patient focused. I don't think the staff are always as appreciated as they should be! Especially regular staff.

Friendly, affective. We're some periods whilst being admitted where I had been left in a waiting room for an hour or more on my own, but this wasn't in the ward itself. Special thanks to career joy and the boys.

The staff counselled me and made times fun whenever they weren't understaffed. I would like to say a special thank you to Farai, Bernadette, Judith, Ela, Salvina, Lauren, Ahmed , Aji, Austin, and Chris. It might have helped if I have an end date in sight from the start. The CBT helped wonders and Dr Critchlow is amazing.
